mmm, no speedy NABs here. I decided not to do that project, however, I do have very speedy stallions with socks that may help you breed some speed into your NABs. NABs are not naturally speedy so it may be very hard to create a speedy purebred NAB. My suggestion is breeding paint markings onto Turkemes or a breed created from Turkemes or Arabian crosses such as Anglo Arabians, Thoroughbreds, Akhal Tekes, etc. Turkemes and Arabians are your lightest and fastest foundation horses. Their natural speed and agility will give them an advantage in racing, endurance, steeple, sprinting, etc - whereas a heavier built breed may have some difficulty placing because of their body type. If you are still interested in trying to cross NABs with racehorses and create purebred NABs eventually, I suggest talking to WichitaFeather about purchasing some 75%+NAB mares with genetic potentials over 45k. I am willing to purchase at least 5 for you (they may be expensive).

Okay, thank you so much for all the information :) My plan is to breed racing Paints (the breed) with the tobiano markings. I have to start from scratch to introduce the markings, so I started with NABs. Paints race in rl; do you think it is a bad idea to try to breed them for racing on the game?

Spanish Barb x Quarter Horse = Paint if you can get horses with the right evaluations

Spanish Barb Creation
[ Spanish Jennet x West African Barb ] x [ Andalusian x West African Barb ]

Quarter Horse Creation
[ Thoroughbred x Chickasaw ] x [ Arabian x Andalusian ]

Do I think it is a bad idea? I think it will be extremely difficult, and unrewarding if you want to compete your paints most likely. Most of the Quarter Horses in game are pony type, and funky looking. Unpopular breeds like Quarter Horses and Spanish Barbs are underdeveloped. Low GPs, low stats, unruly body conformations. I think your best bet is to cross paint mares with racehorse stallions that already carry the paint gene (socks), and breed them back to pure over several generations. It will be a very slow process either way. If you are interested in the paint pattern itself, I know a breeder that does Thoroughbreds with paint markings. Maybe they would help you

Thank you for the honest opinion :) I would like to get into Thoroughbreds :) And with Paint markings that would be super cool! I would love it if your friend could help me! Thanks Retsi :)
