Stallions at Stud with no energy????

Post by malishka33 »

Hello,
I am interested in what other players think about the stallions in the stud add when the stallion has no energy, and would like to share my personal suggestions to solve this little problem.
(If there already is a discussion about this, let me know, and I can transition to it)

I'm pretty sure I am not the only one who is having not so fun experience with this.
Numerous times ive had to just "let it go" for when I needed a specific stud but he has no energy so I would just move on to something else in hopes that the player will get that stallions energy level back up soon. After all, its in the stud add, I'm allowed to stud it, aren't I?
Unfortunately weeks and even months pass, and the player hasn't gotten their stallions energy back up nor removed them from the stud add for whatever reasons. this isn't even a matter of patience anymore.
(and I am not complaining coming from a ping of mine trying to reach a player who has a stallion up for stud with no energy and that stallion is the perfect match for what I need right now! for those of you who have noticed)
especially, there is a problem when players put a stallion up for stud purposely with no energy just to tease people to studding him but they cant cuz he has no energy. in that case i find it unacceptable. (not saying someone is doing that, but we might not know if there is).

My suggestion to solving the problem is this,
what does everyone think about the idea that each stallion should be removed from the stud add when they are out of energy, and the player should receive a notification, kinda like when their stallion gets bred they get a notification, but the notification should have 2 option buttons... ONE, for example, just an 'OK', which would leave the stallion in current situation removed from the stud add and if the player wants to put him back up, they have to do it again as a new add. and TWO, the second option in the notification should say something like, "Renew Add", and by choosing so, if the stallion still has no energy, they will NOT be able to put it back up for stud, but if the stallion got energy again then the same add gets put back up. (and possibly an 'edit add' option if the player wants to change something about the add from previous add.)

So in a nutshell, I suggest that if a stallion in the stud add has no energy, he cannot be put BACK up for stud AND will be removed immediately from the current standing add once the last energy has been used for breeding.... even if the player is the one breeding him and not a guest from the add, AND some creative quick access to renewing the stallions add when he has energy again.

Fellow players, i am interested in what you think about this current situation and what u may want to suggest or add as well!

Remember to be nice!!! :D

I’m glad I’m not the only one with major issues with this. I have been looking for probably an average of 25 mins just looking for a stud with energy and it’s rlly hard with rarer breeds because they will have less of them and they will be used up and most of the time, not aged ever or for a long period of time. It’s just frustrating when I find a stallion that fits the eval perfectly and has good stats and than turns out to have less than the minimum amount of energy. Usually I keep my eye on it and it never gets aged.

When I look through the stud ads, first thing I do is scroll down to see if they have energy. If not, I don't bother to look any further. This way I at least keep my own frustration to minimum :)

it's not even just the rarer breeds; even the base ones are a problem (if it isn't arabians -.-') especially forest horses or NABs with higher hgp are so often out of energy I sometimes especially take a day for my breeding to just go looking trough the stud adds - and often the ones that are somewhat ok are at 0% and the last login of the owner was last year or something - it's really aggravating...

thanks for posting this topic! I can 100% relate... so many times - you want a certain stud, or even certain breed... and it/they haven't had energy for months but still up for stud...or you look through the ads, and they all have no energy... its fine to suggest pinging a player... but the success rate there is very low (weather they dont use the forum, weather they havent been online - whatever)....

I think its a great idea to remove 'empty' stallion ads from the stud market... and notify the player that their energy is at 0. however it is done, i dont mind - but would be extremely grateful! - it would also help with clogging up the market, too?

I think removing it from the stud list and notifying the owner is a really really really great idea. I think we have all stumbled across this problem numerous times and it's always disappointing when you find a great horse and then it has no energy. Especially when it's more than once or twice a day or even in 10 minutes.

I am an active player and I do train my horses as well as stud them. So if one of my studs were to run out of energy while training, I could see how that would be a problem. (Having to re-add every day) I would suggest a timer. Maybe if it has no energy for 24 hours then it be removed. This would allow us to train and stud the same horse with no interference from the new implementation.

Please consider adding this to the game!
