High Genetic Potential
Hello breeders,
so I was wondering how exactly a breeder can improve his horse's GP? The max that I ever archived with my Thoroughbreds is 67 GP and not more (it wasn't even a horse with 5# evalutation).
I improved conformation a lot for racing and I tried always my best, but now I'm just exhausted and confused...

I don't breed TBs, but here's my advice:Raven wrote:Hello breeders,

What I did was set a certain level for GP (whatever GP came up more than once or twice with each foaling but not so low that I kept over half of the foals. I found that colts tended to have higher GPs, on average, than fillies), and delete every foal that did not have a high enough GP. Every once in a while, I would find a high GP stallion, breed him to all my mares and keep those foals even if conformation was off (so long as it was not wildly off). Sometimes, I would find a high GP mare and add her to my herd.
