Color?

Post by Hudson Horse Farm »

She's an interesting color, I think she's silver Palomino, but I'm not sure.

This is what I've always seen called a dirty or chocolate palomino (at least in my area & quarter horses), but this game calls them sooty palominos. So, officially, it's a sooty palomino; however, I call it a chocolate palomino

Your horse is a sooty palomino tobiano :)

Silver is not expressed on red-based horses, so the silvery mane and tail is due to sooty

Also, chocolate palomino is a term I would refrain from using, as it is not genetically correct and often used to describe various different colours (such as sooty palominos, silver blacks, classic champagnes and just about whenever people want their horses to sound more interesting ;) )
