Looks like Silver Buckskin with a lot of varnishing.

No silver, there isn't any in the line. The silver mane and tail is from Lp varnish. Plus dun.PHPS wrote:Very possible.Retsi wrote:

But I agree with Retsi, it's on buckskin.

This is why i'm not much for color breeding! It would be a tragic fail!BlackOak2 wrote:No silver, there isn't any in the line. The silver mane and tail is from Lp varnish. Plus dun.

Re: Anyone can take a guess?
There have been times I've looked at my own Lp horses and have said 'where did that silver come from?' It really comes down to knowing what the horse's genetic makeup is and what genes they can't be carrying.Retsi wrote:This is why i'm not much for color breeding! I once had a foal that was born with the silver-like mane, but from non-silver parents. That particular horse was either from Lp or an unusual expression connected to prezwalski horses maybe. The plume effect or something. I have some of them in my 'favorites' topic, inculding the not silver-maned foal.

Re: Anyone can take a guess?
I do get a lot of buckskin from the other relative lines of this horse,so i would agree buckskin is definitely a factor here,I am going to look at him and post another picture without his gear.BlackOak2 wrote:No silver, there isn't any in the line.
