Breeding help w/ Arappaloosa
I can't get my Appaloosa stud and Arabian mare to produce an Arappaloosa foal. I know it shoulden't matter what order they are but every foal that has come from them has been a cross instead of a new breed. Any tips or help that can be given would be appreciated.

Re: Breeding help w/ Arappaloosa
Do you have a book for the arappaloosa breed? if your stud and mare don't fullfill the requirements (height, build, bodysize and type) or their foals are off just so, then it won't be 'recognized' as an arappaloosa and end up being just a cross.PHPS wrote:I can't get my Appaloosa stud and Arabian mare to produce an Arappaloosa foal. Does that help?

no problem, the books can be brought in the market under book store. (and also, answering is easier when you Quote or 'ping' the person you are answering to with the " - button in the right corner; if you do, then the person you quoted will get a notificationPHPS wrote:Yep that does help. yes, nicely donePHPS wrote: Like this? Thank you for the help though, even though i am producing decent mix horses with awesome stats..they are not what i am looking for and no one really seems to want to buy then either.

you could look if some of them have stats that are on different ends of the spectrum you need and then breed them again. With a bit of luck an arappaloosa could pop out - the percentage is the thing thats important, it's half arab half Appaloosa, and a quarter from each parent still makes one half, so you could have luck
