Im game Sooty is pretty weak pattern as of now and to be frank looks a bit on the ugly side. If it was adjusted to include dapples it would made sooty horses more realistic an appealing or at least a sooty variation that includes dapples
ex:

And second suggestion which might actually already be a planned feature which I hope but due to lack of information about it (like most of the time lol no hard feelings tho) Im suggesting it anyway. White markings interacting with skin, hoves and eyes for tobiano horses

I can't say anything about the pink skin and blue eyes of the new tobiano paints (although I do think that is one of the additions that came with them, I'm not sure why it's not expressing itself. Admin's pre-release examples does show them with these traits).

However, as far as sooty dapples is concerned, this is already in the game. See the original post and a subsequent informative post here:

I'm not sure what you mean by sooty being 'weak'. I can agree that some of the sooty patterns do look a little ugly, but so do some real horse color combinations. Personally, I like the sooty genetics thus far.

Ah I see its something really rare. I've played the game for more than a year and havent come across it in my own or other users breeding. Idk why they would code it so rare, Im not a fan of it. But thank you for the info

You're welcome.

It took me awhile to hunt it back up, but here's a post with some examples of sooty dapples (also the difference between silver dapples and sooty dapples).

You're welcome again! :D

But you're very right, they're very rare. I haven't seen any brilliantly dappled ones since that post myself. Although I'm not looking for them, they do stick out like a sore thumb.
I'd definitely like to see more of them around. I'd even like to breed epic sooty dapples myself, but... I have way too many projects on the schedule before that.

It would be an involved project for anyone to undertake, not to mention probably pretty long. But it may be a pretty nice niche market for somebody in our community.

Do they get any brighter than that? How many generations did it take until they started showing as obvious as you have them? Have you tried all the AC breeds to categorize which breed carries what genes?

Also, do they breed out well? Or do you need to breed back in to maximize the effect?

I bred them about a year ago, and haven't done much since. My theory is that the Turkmene carries the dapples switch, except of course very few of them carry the sooty. So dapple sooty in Turkemenes is possible but very rare.

I started out with a very old dapple sooty Turkmene mare that I found for sale, and went through all the public Turkmene stallions until I found one or two dapple sootys. Then I bred them together and immediatly realized that Turkmenes also sooty quite slowly... So once I had more than one dapple sooty, I bred them out with really sooty Forest Horses. And that was pretty much how far I got.

To answer your questions:
I don't know. There is 1 switch gene that is in the Turkmene. There is also a dappling strenght gene (3 main genes) that is available in the same breed according to larissar. Since I started out with such a small selection of Turkmenes, it's probable that my dapple strenght genes lack variation (and I have probably narrowed it even further by selecting for strong dapples). I bred them for maybe 3-4 generations.
All breeds carry genes for sooty though. So you could go thorugh the entire AC to see how sooty acts for different breeds, since that changes how the sooty dapples look too.

The sooty dapple switch is dominant, so breeding out is reasonable. I think I bred back in now and then when I got some really nice clear dapples.

If you want to know more details, I can recommend this post.

Thank you for this further information. It's quite helpful (at least to me and my notes :D ).
I did already have that post you offered bookmarked.

If you return to this project, the community (not just me), would enjoy a write up of whatever further genetic information you come across.

I might be interested in purchasing one of your dapples, but I can't do it now. Way too many projects has offered me no room leftover. But my low GP project is in need of additional dapples. I have silver dapples, but I'd like to get dappled across the board.
If you're willing to sell a horse or two, I'd like to do so when I'm able. I have already seen a mare you currently have that might work alright as an addition.
