quick question on the days?

im new here and was just wondering what it means when it says you have ran out of time to do things? and also do you then get a turn every 20mins?

Your turns are taken with the sleeping moon. Right next to it is the season and year you're in. Right next to that is a little clock with what time it is on your game (not the current time and not the time the game is on). Without any upgrades, you can only do things until 10pm. What this means is that certain things you won't be able to accomplish, for instance, if it's past 7pm, you won't be able to do any more local shows.

Your turns accumulate every 20 minutes, but the clock restarts every time you take a turn and only will bank if you have room for the turn to be saved (without upgrades, you can only store 6 turns total).

alright so my goal then is to do what i can a day time wise then once i run out of time use a turn? then as long as i have room for a turn every 20mins ill get one?

If that is your goal, then that is what you do. Some of us don't do much during the day, using just a couple hours to breed horses, others use most or all of the day training or in local shows. You must find a balance that works for you doing what you want or working toward the goals you set for yourself.

But you've got the idea correct.

Also, as a side note, local shows have the chance to earn you extra days and extra pony tokens on occasion.
