Latvian Riding Horse

So. I'm desperately wanting the Latvian Riding Horse. I got super lucky and a bunch of Norfolk Trotter mares were on sale. It takes Norfolk Trotter x Anglo-Arabian to make. So I was like okay, awesome. Something I can actually do - right? Bought the books. All my Norfolk Trotters are NA for the Latvian Riding Horse. Actually, I checked any and every Norfolk I could find and they were all NA. I've never seen this before. Usually, in order to make a breed - they have to have something in common - or it just won't happen. Yeah well it's not happening. I don't understand this. And my Norfolk's are 4 or 5 in eval for their breed. So how does this breed even make the Latvian Riding Horse? Apparently they have zippo in common.

Before breeding your Norfolk Trotter to Anglo Arabs try to increase bodysize and ponytype. The bodysize needs to be between 35% and 60%, the horsetype needs to be between 65% HT to 60% PT. Try to select and breed with the horses that are closest to those marks. It might take several generations..... but eventually you will succeed.

Just something from my own breeding experiences; sometimes it's all about finding horses on each end of the spectrum.
for example: you need something like 35% Body size for the cross and you have a very slim breed and they just don't have Body sizes above 20% - you then search for the other breed component to be much larger like 45% or above - the same with the other evals. It's a lot more of a gamble but sometimes the only way to get anywhere in range :)
