White Connemara's
okay, so i really like Connemara ponies and they're what i'm planning to breed in this game! i'm trying to breed for color, so that there's more variety of studs/sales instead of the limited amount there is, especially with the new 10% breeding cost (i know that the breeding thing will harm other breeds more than the Connemara's
)
either way i was wondering if anyone had ever seen a white Connemara? if not that's what i'm trying to breed for

Re: White Connemara's
Also another question, is the white gene in this game dominant?

Re: White Connemara's
Thus far, there is only pseudo-white, those are cream and champagne combinations. Unless you count appaloosa which in theory may be able to give you a mostly white, minimally spotted horse either with one or two Lp genes. Or the new paints that have just been added. In my opinion, neither of these are true 'white' horses, like black is black, bay is bay, brown is brown.Cider Stables wrote:Also another question, is the white gene in this game dominant?
Also, if memory serves, the white gene is dominant in real life.
But I could be wrong.

Re: White Connemara's
If we're talking rl Connemara's, I don't believe the breed comes in white - though they do come in gray and cream genes. That said, you can breed for white if you want - in my experience most people in the game don't breed their horses to breed standard specifications. As to if there's any white Connemara in the game? I'm not sure - they're not a breed I'm persuing, but for what its worth, I've never seen one in a competition or anything.

Re: White Connemara's
lot's of Connemaras irl are grey, but most a really light grey and the grey on this game is too dark, so i'm trying to get white or pseudo white, and i'm kinda breeding for color and not good stats, although i think some of the foals i sold off of on my old account (all my Connemara's now are from there) where trained for comps, whether they were any good or not, i don't know.flrancho wrote:If we're talking rl Connemara's, I don't believe the breed comes in white - though they do come in gray and cream genes. Like in real life, gray horses on this game are born any other color (ie. bay, black, buckskin, etc) and gradually turn gray and then white with age. All gray horses do this in real life as well. The grays you're seeing aren't too dark, they just haven't fully grayed out yet.

This was the closest horse I had to a white Connemara (he is now retired).

He was born Cremello, which had a bit of a yellow tint.

As he aged and started graying he became white. I believe as he got older he ended up with freckles like his sires dam, but I don't have any pictures of him then.
