Hiya!

Post by jl11 »

hejsan (hi in Swedish)

I recently joined HWO and it's been really fun- the number of horse varieties is crazy large not to mention the customizations!

Folks seem genuinely helpful on the forums and that is so cool! The only thing I've been struggling with is the length between turns and having to wait.

Does this get better so you make better progress? Thanks for chiming in!

As we say tack så mycket!

Yes and no.
Doing the local shows will earn you the occasional extra day. Sometimes you can earn multiple days each turn, which keeps your count relatively high and ongoing. Other times, it's like trying to find water in a desert during an extended drought.
What really helps however, is when you have more horses, so you're doing more with each turn. You can upgrade and your day regeneration count is halved however, plus your banked days is doubled.
Plus, I find that fully training a horse does seem to earn additional days and pony tokens in locals, but then again, that could just be my imagination. :D

Thanks for the very detailed reply! Didn't realize your can't get more time and turns as you progress. Seems like there's a lot to do here with the horses! Can't wait to train and win some competitions! Thanks again! Tack!

Do you know what horse breed you want to start with? I currently breed: Deliboz, Thoroughbreds, Akahl-Tekes, Arabians, and Anglo-Arabians. If you want to start with any of these breeds I'll give you a stallion and a mare for $2 to get you started :)
