Breeding Questions

Post by Fendi »

Hello :)

So i joined this game not that many days ago and i have set my goal to breed North Swedish Horses. At first i was thinking that i did something wrong because i never ever got the North Swedish Horse from the Book mix ( Dole x Forest horse ).

But i was not giving up and speaking right now i was lucky to breed 3x the North Swedish Horse from that same mare. Looks like i have been lucky and i am for sure but the only 3 Swedish Horses i have are from the same parents and all are male. I have on both this account and my seccond account (Fendy) over 15 Forest mares pregnant all the time but they never give me a purebreed Forest Horse.

I have even been breeding my Forest mares with the only North Swedish Horse stallon to make sure i could get more pony type and North blood in my lines but all the horses i have, even with up to 80% North Swedish blood never give me a purebred North Swedish Horse. What am i doing wrong?

I have the North Swedish Horse book and i have tons of Horses who score 5/5 for the breed but they never give me a purebred North Horse and it confuses me.

For example this is the mare i got out of the Adoption Center because i needed mares who would fit the North Book better then just 1 out of 5 or 2 out of 5. As you can see is that Elsa has 3/5 for the North Book and she has 3 North Swedish Pure foals with the Dole stallion. I do have at least 5 or 6 mares who fit the North Swedish book 5/5 and they never give me a Purebred Foal, how is that possible?

Elsa

Also i have a question about what is possible to breed a Purebred. If i have mares who are North Swedish Horse X Forest horse or a mix with even more North Swedish blood, what stallion do i need to place them with to make the highes change on a Purebreed North Swedish Horse? The book says Dole X Forest horse. Is it also possible to breed a Purebred North Swedish Horse from a North X Forest?

Queen is one of my first mares and she is a 50% North Swedish Horse. I just love the colour she has and it makes me very sad that despite having a way better score for the North Book then Else has she never gave me a purebred North Foal. Is it possible to breed a Purebred Foal out of Queen and what Stallion should i use, Dole or North Swedish?
Queen / 50% Swedish Horse 50% Forest

Here some of my Crosses who all match the North Swedish Book 5/5 but have never gave me a Purebred.
Lana / 5/5 North Swedish Horse

North Mare - She has 80% North Swedish Blood

Not Lucky - She even has 95% North Swedish Blood

Sorry for all my questions! Thank you!

So this is kind of complicated.

The mixes you have will not for sure give you a pure blood, you could try aging a few foals and breeding them too. The thing is, some horses will be easier to get a purebred from, but it’s hard to tell which ones. If you’re just breeding mixes to a purebred, to get a purebred, then the book might not help very much at all in the creation. Getting a purebred from two different horses of different breeds, such as Dole X Forest are usually much harder to breed and have smaller chances of being a purebred.

Mainly, it’s usually pretty hard to understand what pair will produce a certain outcome, and usually takes some experimentation. I can try to help with the figuring out which pairs will work best, but I might need one specific problem with details at a time to understand better.

Yes,i figured that since most Forest horses have such weak Pony potential i would bring in some North Blood from the only other Public Stallion in my lines so i could breed foals who would fit the book better. But that seems to not work at all. I have tons of horses who score the max for the Pure North Swedish Horse but they never even get me a Purebreed even when i breed 2 Horses with 5/5 and over 50% North Blood.

As you can see is that Elsa, the only mare i got Purebreeds from is over 20 already i wanted to ask it on the forums since when she dies my breeding is back at the beginning again. I am very confused haha and i just want to know how i have the best shot in getting purebreds from my horses without having to use the same Couple.

I have a mare with 95% North Blood and she fits the breed 5/5. So when i breed here with a Purebred North Stallion the change to get a Purebreed should be there if i am right? :)

All help is very very welcome!! Thank you!

Yes if you breed the 95% mare to the purebred, then you should get another purebred (hopefully)

Another thing I’ve realised throughout playing the game is cross breeding. So you see this foal that is on your farm: http://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/1354356

I believe they’re not a purebred because of the forest horse blood in their pedigree. If a gene is farther back it won’t make a difference, but as long as that forest horse gene keeps being passed down, these foals will not be purebred. One solution to that is to just keep breeding the foals until you do get a purebred, and continue looking for good pairs.

Yes i kept all my crosses with Norths who have high North blood and all score at least a 5/5 for the Purebreed Noor. Seems that i just need to keep going adding more North blood into them and at the other hand i need to look out for some pairs who, just as Elsa, make a good fit!

I just adopted 2 Forest Mares from the Foundation and they are good at the sam points as Elsa is, so let´s hope i get lucky any time soon!

Thank you so much for your help!

No problem. I don’t mind helping people since I’ve been here for like almost a year at least. I hope you’re breeding does well! :D
