I do believe you can enter a 3 year 11.5 month old, if the game accepts it then go for it.

its for Thoroughbreds between the ages of 2 - 3 years old. Since a horse that is over 3 years but under 4 years, is still considered 3 years old. Once the horse hits 4 years old, it's no longer a 3 year old.

Lol I know that. But somehow I had the understanding that the Triple Crown was under 3; up to 2 11.5 years, since so many people were complaining about not being able to train in time.. Guess we all misunderstood!
