What are the pastures for in the market? are they for horses? if they are how do you use them? or are they just for coloring the board of the pasture you already have?

They are new pastures for you to buy. When you do Horse Managment courses - http://www.horseworldonline.net/player/ ... /ownership
and expand your farm - http://www.horseworldonline.net/farm - edit my farm, you can place them when you click on "Toggle Build Mode".
As of now there isnt option to just recolor your old farm and I doubt it will ever be implemented.
Basically they are expanding your ranch same as barns - but there are no pros to buy barn over farm right now, because it is too expensive.
Small pastures and barns hold 4 horses, medium 8 and large 12.
