Confuzzling Crossbreeding
I'm attempting to work towards Norwegian Fjords as a side thing while I work on my long-term Gypsy project. I got a little confused when I bred a Mongolian mare to a Przewalski Horse in the hope of getting the crossbreed I needed for the breed recipe (Mongolian x [Mongolian x Przewalski Horse]). However, I ended up with a Chinese Pony (Mongolian x Przewalski Horse). I was wondering if this Chinese Pony filly could still be used to breed Fjords if crossed to a Mongolian stallion?

No, once you get a breed it's a dead end. Unless that breed is part of the creation of another breed.

Re: Confuzzling Crossbreeding
Downgrading a new breed into its cross is a coming feature. Until then, if you want to use the Chinese Pony you'll have to breed it to something completely different and then breed the resulting cross to a Mongolian or a Przewalski, and proceed from there.
Signature? I don't need no stinkin' signature! Everybody knows who I am already!

Well, that's made my breeding program trickier for now
Keeping getting Chinese Ponies by accident that are 4* for Fjord. Ack!

Re: Confuzzling Crossbreeding
Yeah sometimes there are instances that you do NOT want 4* believe it or not. Like if you need a cross breed instead of a new breed. Then something below 4* is desirable. Just want a horse that is just right
