your goals and favorite or most prized accomplishment

Post by Babydluv81 »

So I'm extremely happy and proud of myself. I surpassed my original goal.

I started on March 20th 2018. I didn't really get into it the first week but when I came back the next week I looked through the market and found beautiful horses and it made me intrigued. So I went hard core determined this past week and today the fruits of my labor paid off. I bought a newborn Arabian for 200 and it took 7 years for me to train her. Today she got the title Champion!
My current goals are to breed and train an aenos champ and Bali champ. :D

What are some goals you have or have accomplished ?

My goal is to breed Manipuris from scratch that earn combined titles in Dressage/Show Jumping/Cross Country. I've just started as well so this is a pretty long term goal.

I'm using a combination of book evals and conformations to try and make the best breeding matches. I have 2 foals and 2 on the way. Waiting for breeding ages. *crosses fingers*

Not familiar with the minipuris. If you need any help with conformations you can post a link to the horse here and I can let you know what their skill lvls are. Might help you pair for higher skill sets you'll need for your desired events. I'm assuming you already looked at the discipline charts to figure those out.

My biggest goal that I’ve overcome so far is I just bred two colts that are EXACTLY what I wanted in my competing horses when I first started my racing project a LONG time ago. I’ve passed some other goals too like being able to train in under 3 years. Now I just keep adding breeds to my farm, while making new goals as well.

Will love it when I'm ableto train in under 3 years. My first was 7 and I've been lvling my training abilities along the way. I just started training a newborn I bred. I'm hoping the time on this one will be shorter.

I am cross breeding some for a good event horse. Going more for stats than just breed specific. Only doing it 1 at a time at the moment. It's. Just a side project. This is the one I'm Waiting to drop. http://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/1287486. May I see your horse you tried so long for?

These are the two perfect horses I have: http://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/1287489

http://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/1287403

These so far are the best racing horses I’ve gotten. They have my desired conformation and a six stats breeders report. I figured out a while ago that I wanted to train for talent, not stats, but this is also very nice since it insures talent in a way. They’ll also probably do very well because their father was/ is (I’ll have to check) the #1 Racing Akhal- Teke.

not bad at all. both are nice. I have been breeding for a little of both talent and stats. I use the stats as conformation of talent in a way. If I have for instance 4 gold, I'll look at the stats and see which are highest of those and find events with those 2 as the first 2 events judged on. Giving a better (expected) chance of winning due to it being their strength.

Having a kid of the top racer on the site would be a big advantage probably and definitely worth a mention.

and yay! she went Grand Champion today. She really is perfectly suited for the western trail. I'm glad I found this horse when I did.

Yes I’m excited to finish their training and start competing them and I checked their sire is currently fluctuating between secon and third top Akhal- Teke for everything as I keep competing him daily.

I have a couple more foals coming that I hope are good enough for competition as I bred a few horses a bit ago and they did horribly in shows but you live and you learn.

Great job on the Grand Champion! It’s definitely work to get good titles and makes you just feel so accomplished afterwards. :D

AGREED and good luck with your events. That is pretty awesome and exciting that you actually get to race against 'daddy'.

Thanks. :D I hope your horse(s) keep advancing and gaining titles. I’m thinking about starting to host events but you don’t make any money from it really soo I’m not sure :?.
