Which discipline is best for my horse?

Post by b00nstra »

What is a good discipline for one of the smaller horses? I have a 31 inch medium light, horse type build and am unsure of what she would be best suited for. Thanks in advance <3

I have no idea how much her size would impair her, but I think she could do well in western trail:
1. her temprament is ideal with bombproof
2. Balance, Intelligence are gold and second and third of four needed stats, Agility, Stamina are green and first and the fourth needed stat for doing well
3. if you get her down to moderate weight she should be well prepared

I think Western Trail is a good match... but her size will definitely make it so she has less of a chance in winning. I personally think you have a better chance of winning in- hand jumping since she’s so tiny. If you really want to make her a champion, grand champion, etc. you’ll need to enter her into smaller comps with less experienced horses so that she actually has a chance. If you breed her with a small stallion with about the same breeders report then the foal will be an even better competitor (You would need to get a stallion with green/ gold strength).

This is my opinion based on breeders report, conformation, and temperament(kind of). There is a chart for needed stats in a compotition on my farm log: http://www.horseworldonline.net/forum/v ... 402#p67402

I hope this helped!
