He would appear to be Blue roan. He looks as if he would be a liver chestnut as a foal because black foals appear a dark brown colour and then darken.Babydluv81 wrote:New Foal

He is indeed roan. He has got the white hairs mixed in with his black hairs on the body and none on the face or legs. Roaning is only on the body and upper parts of the legs and maybe some an the Jowl. Brown Roan can look similar as a a foal but no one in his family tree is Brown. So basically I would say he is Blue Roan/Black roan.
