If possible, some way to filter out forum topics you're not interested in seeing would be much appreciated. I like to read new message when I log on, but 90% are "what color is my horse" or "how does this work" sorts of things that don't much matter to me.

Re: Forum Filter
Think that would need some serious coding if that can even be altered...
Subscribing to certain topics might work
Thats what I usually do on other, bigger forums

It seems like we're currently subscribed to ALL subforums and topics. I know that you can control which topics you get email notifications from.

Re: Forum Filter
I quit using the New Posts link and just go to the categories I'm interested in. What is in red is unread and then I click the title from there. Harder to see but to the far right is a First Unread link to take you to the first unread post in that thread. Then when done reading/posting I mark all forums read for tidiness
Going by the New Posts method I think I was missing some posts actually. Whole threads even like in Bugs. Maybe when there is a new post in a thread and then it is moved to Archived or moved around elsewhere. phpBB can be awkward especially when customized.

Each threads icon (the circle with lines) is also a link to the first unread post in the thread. That's what I use.Nikolaevna wrote: Harder to see but to the far right is a First Unread link to take you to the first unread post in that thread.
