What Happens to a Horse's Tack When They Die?

I am considering buying a a few saddles for pony tokens and I was wondering if when a horse dies, does their tack go with them, or does it return to the inventory? I just want to know so I can possibly save money instead of having to buy more saddles when my horses die and I breed or buy new ones.

It returns to your inventory, and I would recommend only spending game money on tack, not PT.
