Until registries are in place the Breeding Communities forum will be for players to work together towards creating or improving their favourite breeds.
Forum rules
Each breed may have only one topic. The first post in the topic is to be informative. It should help explain the breed, and breeding goals; advice on how to select mares and stallions; and links to ideal Stallions available for breeding.
Keeping a directory of breeders working on the same goal is also helpful.
All new threads must be approved.

Selle Francais

The Selle Francais
(French Saddle Horse)
Image
Background and Breed Specification

Owing to the diversity of breeds contributing to the Selle Francais, the breed standards are fairly wide. They range from 15.1hh to 17.3hh, though because of their aptitude as sport horses they usually stand between 16.1hh to 16.3hh. The Selle Francais is an athletic horse with balanced, harmonious and powerful gaits. The forehead is generally broad and the facial profile is straight or slightly convex. The neck should be strong and rather long, well connected to the withers, and the back straight. The croup is elongated, muscular and slightly oblique, and the powerful hindquarters are perhaps its greatest asset in show jumping. The chest is deep, and the shoulders long and sloping. The legs are strong and muscular with wide joints and hard hooves.

The majority of Selle Francais have a good temperament, patient and quiet, but energetic, the breed is notoriously intelligent and trainable. Largely bay or chestnut in colour, grey is acceptable though more unusual. White markings on the head and legs are common. They have been selected since the beginning of the breed for their athleticism and excel in the three day eventing disciplines, dressage, cross country and particularly show jumping, for which they made up the entire French gold medal teams in the 2002 World Equestrian games and the 2004 Summer Olympics. In more recent times they have also competed with success in combined driving, vaulting and competitive trail riding.

Horse World Online Specification

The Selle Francais should be, between 15.3hh and 17.0hh with a Medium to Medium Light build. They should be between 30 and 50 percent body size and between 60% horse type and 60% pony type. Any colours are accepted, though currently the majority of horses present in the breed are bay or chestnut based, occasionally with dun markings or roaning.

That's great, I've admired your Selle Francais (and all your other horses) since I've started playing, especially your stallion Prodigy.
I'd like a couple of Purebred mares, not too old, and with neutral stats - better would be great too. Titled mares are good too, just tell me how much you'd like. Thanks!

Pure selle francais mares of any age I'll let go for 10000, stallions 7000. Those with titles are 20000+ Prodigy I'd let go for 50000. Just send me links to the ones you'd like and I'll put them up for sale x

Weaving, I'm a little confused. Just to clarify, I interpreted the sentence as "Prodigy can be sold for 50K." and "Titled horses are 20K+"

But isn't Prodigy already owned by Sinister_Farms?

If possible, I would like Le Roi too, even though he's owned by Stormchase Stables.

And I would like to have these mares if possible, please.

I bought one of the two, the other was taken by somebody else. Did you state that they were for me?
