Am I wrong?

Post by Woodstock »

I have a Persian Arabian mare that is listed as an Amber Cream. I don't know where I got the thought stuck in my head but even after it has been confirmed I still believe that their might be pearl going on.
This is the mare in question:
OTM Arctic Line

The only thing is that I don't know where the pearl would come from or what gave me the idea all I know is that it wasn't looking like other Amber Creams to me.
She also has a foal that doesn't look like a typical Amber Champagne, so I was thinking that pearl might be going on their too.
OTM Arctic Chai

What I do know about her is that she's Bay based, has champagne and silver.

The mare does have champagne. She appears to be a double dilute. She appears to also be bay.

A pearl can never come from a single dilute cream (so not from buckskin, palomino or smoky). It is entirely possibly for her mother to have a single pearl, she did not inherit her own mother's single cream.
She appears to be an amber buckskin pearl. Single champagne, single cream, single pearl.

It also appears she's throwing champagne, single pearl offspring. And by the look of Arctic Chai, your mare is silver as well.

Keep in mind that a single pearl won't show on a coat. It will only express itself when paired with another pearl, or with a cream.
