I feel like you should give the horse back to the owner for the price you snatched it for. Both of you are new players and most people don’t want to throw around money like that if they even have it.

that's wrong. It was a mistake, so you should give the horse back, like Jasmine said, for the price you bought it for.
I'm sure that if this happened to you, you'd want the other person to sell back the horse.

She/he probably doesn't have that much money.

Horses on the market are fair game, especially since private sales were added. It is now only possible to lose a horse if the player is lazy, ignorant of the private sale feature or super certain the horse won't get snatched. And if it does, then too bad.

Anyway, you just asked if she/he would pay 100K for the horse, thus, it's not extortion. If you do kind of refuse to return the horse back unless the player gives you a sum of money, it was once called extortion and one of the admin did step in. Now that there are private sales, I'm unsure if it still applies.

I'm not going to force anyone to give back horses that were sold on the market, but I imagine you'll make a bad name for yourself if you make a habit of treating other players poorly. Can't have a good time that way.

I am willing to buy the horse from Katie for 100k and give it back to Ladybug for free if that helps. I recently accidentally accepted the wrong offer on one of my horses while transferring accounts and still miss him. So I know the pain of these mistakes. let me know if this would help.
