COI?
Hi,
I thought COI had to do with inbred, but I checked the COI of my last filly and it was 6. something. I took a look at her pedigree and couldn't find any doubles.
So what does COI really stand for? Or doesn't it work properly yet?

Re: COI?
COI stands for the 'coefficient of inbreeding' and does seem to be working correctly. It's an 'estimate' number of how related the horse is to itself for seven generations back. Essentially, it describes how many identical genes it may have received from the parents.Psycho0912 wrote:Hi,

Your link seems to be to a horse that has been rehomed. So I cannot check the pedigree. It seems you didn't choose the correct id number. You linked to id # 116856, when I think you meant to link to id # 1166856.
So, this filly.
She has one double in her pedigree. I've looked seven generations back and don't immediately see any others.
This is where your COI of 6.25% is coming from.

Thank you for helping me, I think I over saw that one
