Buckskin, dun, or... dunskin?

Post by Rose »

While I LOVE the option of guesstimating the color of my own horses, this gal left me wondering if my judgement was actually correct: http://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/2370
I pinpointed her as a buckskin, though her tone seems a little off. She also has a dorsal, but I know that is sometimes seen in genuine buckskins. Might be a seal brown buckskin too? She could also be 'just' a light bay dun, for I don't even know if the cream dilution is present in the Forest Horse....
Send help? xD

Yup, your mare is clearly a bright buckskin. Or better still... She is a buckskin roan ;)

That would also correspond more with the colors normally seen in Forest Horses, I guess. Thank you ;)
