Seeking: Home for promising colt.

Post by Silverine »

Not posted in sales because I'm not trying to sell this guy, more like a give-away. Kind of. I'll move this thread if I need to but I thought it fit better here.
I'm looking for someone that's interested in a very promising young colt to start their own line of either Knabstrupper or Budyonny dressage horses. He's free, but there are certain terms.

This is the colt in question:
¤ß¥Å¤ Memento Mori

About Memo:
-He is a bay with a hip blanket. (E_ Aa Lplp+, he is almost guaranteed to be EE.)
-He is from my Knabstrupper project but somehow ended up 60% Budyonny. The vast majority of his pedigree is Knab x Budyonny with a small amount of Arab and Grade thrown in to enhance certain areas.
-He is specifically bred for dressage. He may also excel in driven dressage.
-His confo scores line up well for dressage - 64 mov, 35 bal, 33 temp, 24 str.
-He has green movement and balance, positive tempo, and neutral strength.
-His parents are dressage champions with very nice scores (sire, dam). His paternal grandsire is also a dressage champion, and his maternal grandsire is a dressage master grand champion with a nice record in driven dressage as well.

My Terms:
-His name may not be changed and my breeder mark (¤ß¥Å¤) may not be removed.
-If you get tired of him for whatever reason he comes back to me.
-You must at least be interested in starting a line of dressage Knabs or Buds. If you're interested in Knabs I can lend you two mares to pair with him from my stock when he is of age. If you're interested in Buds I won't be of much help but Raikit has agreed to lend a mare from her herd.
-He must be trained for showing. You can train him yourself or I'll train him for you. If I train him he is guaranteed finished by 3.5 years but there is a fee.

So if you're interested feel free to post here, or if you'd prefer and are able you can private message me. I don't want this little guy to age in the mean time so I'll pop in to check posts but will otherwise avoid advancing days until at least 24 hours from posting this (I could move him but I'm lazy and this lets me "freeze" him while also avoiding work on my other horses XD).

I am interested. I just started a side project of Knabs.

Funnily enough that mare is from my lines. XD
Since vallers replied first I'm going to wait for them. But we can talk if they don't want him. :)

I will step aside for someone already working on it, but I want a foal or breeding pair. Stats for the pair don't have to be perfect. I'll pay up to 100k per horse.

You asked first though, so I'll still send Memo to you if you want him. As far as a filly to pair with him, I can sell you the next filly from his sire, or one of these girls:

http://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/1059184

Or you can look through my pastures for any mare 6+ years not currently pregnant. I'm probably willing to part with any of those.

Alright, all three of them are up. And yes, if you're down with him before he ages out I will take him back. :)
