Normal Account Cannot Name?

My cousin has recently started playing HWO. She has a basic account. She can't name her horses or pastures. Is that normal? For me, this account,(obviously) can, but my other account Champi0nBr66der, can't. She also can't ping or quote people in forums. Is it supposed to be like that?

umm does basic account means non-premium account? if so, that would be weird. i am not having a premium account but i am able to name my horses or pastures, ping and quote other players in forums. maybe it's a bug?

I dont know about the horse/pasture naming, but are they sure they are pinging right? Are they getting the message must be approved by admins first message?

Also, this could be related to the explorer she uses. I know I had a lot of trouble with internet explorer, then I realized it wasn't updated either. Since I switched to Firefox I've had practically no trouble. Those who use Chrome seem to have very little trouble and Avast safesearch browser seems to offer very little or no trouble. I think safari is pretty trouble free as well.
Have her switch browsers (and don't forget that it needs to be fully updated). I also think that those on mobile devices are limited to what they can do. So pc is the way to go for this game.

But to answer your direct question, no, it's not supposed to be like that. If you open up the individual pasture or barn and switch to the edit tab, edit what you want, then make sure you save. A notification should pop up reporting the save.
The same goes for horses (except you don't switch to the edit tab).
It does sound like it's an explorer issue however (it's not recognizing some of the script that the page has). I don't know the reason your other account can't, especially if you have no problems on one. I can only offer what I already suggested.

She's 10, but her gmail account is 13.

The game doesn't care what her age is on her gmail account -- the only age that matters is the one she gave when she made her account here.
