i think you can, but i always first sell the lowest HGP horses before i sell better ones.
You can also ask in Meganambers farm log for other Dons, i dont know if she is willing to sell
Or Baranduin Brewster, but i also dont know if she sells

when i sold both horses, i am sure i can find a comparable horse then the horse you bid on for the same price.
