Rebreeding

I've bred the two horse crosses required for a TB and ended up with a Grade Horse.

If I breed the same two horses again, is this the only possible result?

No, you could still have a chance at a Thoroughbred with that pair. It just depends what genes they pass on and if the resulting foal meets the criteria for creating a Thoroughbred. If you evaluate your grade foal as a Thoroughbred you'll get an idea of which criteria he failed to meet.
