I have a foal in my stables with her Dam, but shes simply not putting on weight and not eating enough. She's on 100% weight gain, 100% performance, 100% Sweet feed and 100% oats plus mares milk. Why is she continuing to lose weight?

For whatever reason foals will not gain weight on feed. In order to gain weight before six months (and often all the way until they are two years old) they need to be in the pasture on grass. Past six months you can supplement the grass with another feed to raise their weight but for some reason they don't get enough energy without the grass.
