So confused
I breed colourful horses and many of them have crazy coat colours. It would be great it I could get some help in properly identifying them:)

With these horses they start off as a light brown appaloosa, then go golden, and once they reach around 6 half of their coat starts to turn black.

Re: So confused
Just a note - the Lp pattern tends make red-based (chestnut, palomino, cremello) horses darken with age. A lot of your horses are displaying this tendency of the Lp gene which is why they start to turn black.SilverFilly wrote:
1. Cremello Snowcap
2. This horse is grey, which is why she looks fleabitten all over. Underneath that she is red dun with appaloosa spotting and varnish.
3. Silver Zebra Dun (aka bay dun) with hip blanket and varnish.
4. Chestnut with appaloosa spotting and varnish.
5+6. Palomino with appaloosa spotting and varnish.
7. Chestnut with appaloosa spotting and varnish.
8. Chestnut with snowcap appaloosa pattern and varnish.

Re: So confused
Ah yes I completely forgot about the Lp gene. Thankyou so much
