does it matter what the quarterhorse looks like as long as its pure qh in the end?

Ideally, it should generally look like a Quarter Horse with the larger hindquarter and stocky build.

Color and mane doesn't matter. Conformation-wise, perhaps a 3-4* by the breed book.

For instance, he's a 3 star but I think he's lovely.
