Re: Oriole's Farm Log

Today I got my first 60 (61, actually!) agility and 40 balance. Back when I started this project, I didn't even think that I will reach 60 agility, and 60 agility with 40 balance just seemed unachievable.

It's a colt and he is HUGE, even taller than a QH. Oof. Well, if he was of a normal height, he would be too perfect.

Omg omg omg, my 63 agility stud (Sunrise 63 35 30 st *) just beat 62.61 in local shows, which is even higher than Sorcerer's result! (62.54)

Maaaybe I should try to beat the L9 world record in player-made shows?? Just maybe

Also I don't quite understand the logic behind the results, because my previous stud, Cinnamon 58 40 39 * which I was hoping would be my next prospect after Sorcerer, was terrible at local shows (his best result is only 61.5). But maybe I didn't find the right spot in the temperament and weight. Who knows.

Anyways, here is Sunrise's data

Age: 5 years, 9.7 months (I don't know if age is important, but I will still note it down just in case)
Weight: 832 lbs, Moderate (right on the edge with Moderately Fleshy)
Temperament: Calm (right on the edge with Bombproof)
Height: 12.3hh
Body Size: 69.5% (a little bit too much for a Mongolian)
Body type: 60% Pony
(4* Mongolian eval)

Agility 63 GOLD (This stallion is as agile as a deer!)
Balance 35 GOLD (With such perfect symmetry, it's only natural that this stallion would have nice balance.)
Intelligence - GOLD (Your stallion is as bright as an honor student.)
Stamina 30 Green (This one can keep going forever! Doesn't even break a sweat.)

Edit: So I've entered him in several competitions and nope, I won't try anymore. He barely hits 61.0 in comps.

I got burnt out and lost interest in breeding colorful gen3+ Mongolians for "AC Breeding Project" some time ago, and almost all of my horses got retired. I don't want to lose all the progress I've made, so I'll store the rest of them on my other account. Maybe someday I'll feel like getting back to them, who knows.

Also tested Sunrise 61 40 41 * today. At first I was disappointed because he barely hit 62 in local shows, but then I raised his weight a little bit out of curiosity - and boom, his highest score is 62.68 which is my current best result. I was assuming that weight has an impact, but I never thought that this impact is that big.

Unfortunately I didn't pay enough attention so I can't say for sure if it was Moderate on the edge with Moderately Fleshy, or Moderately Fleshy on the edge with Moderate. *sigh* I'll try to recreate it later and will edit this post with the result.
