• 03/06/2024:: Mangalarga Marchador post
• 30/10/2024: Back from Hiatus
• 18/11/2024: I always struggle with what breeds to focus on. I particularly like Mangalargas Marchadores, and Lusitanos/Alter-Reais, but i would like to breed a small breed and a draft breed. At the moment, i will focus on my Mangalarga Marchador bloodline, and keep Criollos, Sorraias and Alter-Reais for support. For the small breed im thinking about Mongolian or Tarpan, and for the draft i will go for the Norman Cob.
• 18/11/2024: Finally bred my first Alter-Real, miss Esperada here, now i will focus on the Garrano and making a stable purebred Alter-Real bloodline.
• 20/11/2024: Got my first Grullo Sorraia stallion, Certeiro, he's 5* Sorraia as well! He will be awesome to develop my bloodline.
• 20/03/2025: Back from Hiatus again. I am still going to focus on Mangalargas, with Criollos, Alter-Reais at a smaller scale. Still with Norman Cob for the drafty and Sorraia for the smaller horse. I am dropping the Tarpan/Mongolian.
• 05/08/2025: Back from Hiatus again. Some cleanup to pick up from my breeding projects. The Garrano project has been frustrating, i am ALMOST there, but i might need another aproach. I've started to try for a new Sorraia bloodline, keep my herd neat and low COI. I 've put my Norman Cob on holt for now, until i get all may mangalarga foundation breeds secured.
• 09/08/2025: I've got my first Garrano! It's a girl! HJ Preciosa.
• 12/08/2025: I am tired of trying to keep Mangalargas... I really like the breed but its just not fun enough to have so many horses just to manage one breed. Most of the recipe breeds are almost nonexistent in the game, and i want to try some project i am interested.
• 21/08/2025: This game keeps feeling like a horse breed gatcha. I want to find other players interested in collaborating but i think it's weird to have to go to discord or something to talk to people without pinging. The forums look a bit dead to me and the money is meaningless.
• 24/08/2025: Okay, i think im settling with the Norman Cobs for some time. With Tarpans and Belgians on the side. I've been organizing my farm and planning my bloodlines, but im still working this out on how i am going to keep track of the COI.
• 26/08/2025: Got some mild progress on the Tarpan front, but had no luck with my Belgians and Norman Cobs for now.
• 30/08/2025: August 2025 Update: New Norman Cobs!
• 03/09/2025: Slowly progressing into the beginning of my Lusitano project, and that's it, no more breeds.
• 04/09/2025: I am so torn between trying to start my Lusitano project with my Norman Cobs and to just drop the Norman Cobs. Whenever i start with my Lusitanos, i will need so many of them that my farm will get cramped, even if i max the amount of horses. I don't want to manage so many horses.

28/08/2025: After the first Norman Cob, i've managed to get a second filly, but then, i kept trying and trying, without sucess. Virtue's Root actually passed, but I GOT A COMBO: A colt and a filly. The filly's HGP is 27k, oh dear, bless her

The Tarpan Program

Objectives

Have a low COI (<50%) herd of Tarpans. They must be black or brown, may have silver and gray.
Face markings and socks are encouraged.
Size between 13hh and 15hh

Have a 0%COI purebred gray Tarpan.: Filly

Reach 40k HGP.

I just want to register this event because it was quite the surprise.

I am working on my Andalusians and just happened to get one at my first try! Meet Bailadora.

And i was NOT expecting this color, wow. I thought her sire, Flamenco, was a Grulla, but there is no way this is not a double cream color. Apparently, he must be Smoky Grulla, and he got that hidden cream from his sire, Cartujano. Funny that i've found out like this. That's just amazing.

I was going for a "flamenco dancer" meaning, since she is flamenco's daughter. From what i've read, it's a spanish word that's usually used specifically for flamenco dancers.

Oh yeah, sorry, i think i "overreached" a bit on the interpretation lol. I was using it because it came from a brazillian poem called "Bailadora Andaluza" about flamenco, and the wikipedia page for flamenco in spanish uses the term once as a subtitle for a picture of a dancer so i thought it was ok, and when i searched for the poem i've found out about a historical figure called "María la Bailadora" who was from Andaluzia and pretended to be a man to fight in a war, so i thought it branched out to cool naming themes.

But yeah, the line of thought came from a brazillian reference so... but think Bailaora still works to keep the naming ideas and will feel more in tune, thanks.
