What color is she?

This one has really stumped me, especially since both her parents are very light and she’s popped out rather dark, it could be from her grandparents I guess?? I know she’s young but the color has been bothering me. If anyone knows what/why she’s this color that would be nice, a link or even just a name of a similarly colored horse that’s older would be nice too so I’ll know what to expect as she ages :)

I’m pretty sure she’s a silver dapple, meaning she’s black based and inherited the silver gene from her mother. Her sire is a buckskin (bay based with one cream gene) and her mother is a silver perlino (bay based with two creams and one silver). Your filly is carrying one cream, but as she’s black it is not visible.

Ohhh, thank you very much!! I knew she was dappled, but the black really threw me off. Her mother has had like 10 foals with her sire and none of them have ever come out looking like her, she even looked green at first to my eyes XD
Thank you for the feedback and I guess I need to think more outside the box in the future!!
