does the age of the horse matter afterwords? I've trained a dozen horses and the last 2% in each stat takes longer than the first 97%. if not i train as well

No. As long as they're under 21

To above 99% in all areas.

Ok I havent mastered that part yet without a lot of aging it dramatically. I can get to 98% in all stats at the moment so I may not be the best trainer for you.
