I know right. It’s so silly asking for me to do those two things or a little horse game. If you accidentally put up a stud that’s on you not on anyone else.UltimateHonse2 wrote:...Hey! I noticed this forum and saw it became a little hostile or harsh. It is a big issue right now that studs that are private are being bred but currently they are working on being able to have studs up for offer. Unfortunately until that happens, some players who have a few different accounts for competing, breeding, training, etc need to have the horse put on the market for their use or if someone else asked to personally stud to the horse.
I understand it is up in the market but people do put things in the ad for a reason. When something like this happens to me, I do ask that they sell the foal back to me for the stud price or a little more just for the trouble of breeding the mare etc. Or I ask that they rehome the foal and I still offer to pay the stud fee. I understand this is a game and all but a lot of people here have been playing for a long time and they work really hard to get where they are/on the horses they breed.
I also think that this place is a great community and everyone needs to work to keep it that way! If people start fighting over things then it doesn't become a nice environment and it can ruin the game for folks. Just something to keep in mind or think about!
i have a way of resolving it just remove the horse from the stud thing wow mindblowing isint is or setting the price really high knowing nobody will breed w that then like

Re: PING - DO NOT BREED
Yes, I understand your point and think your alternatives to rehoming are fair. I never replied to this thread after making my initial posts because the response from the person with the mare was inflammatory and I simply wanted to no longer be a part of/diffuse the situation after stating my thoughts. One thing though is when putting a private stud up you should be prepared for things like this. A private stud is a huge risk. While there are many kind people here if my experiences elsewhere have taught me anything it is that some people do not care. If your horse looks like a steal or meets their requirements they will not hesitate, clear ‘private’ markers or not. But if it’s an honest mistake demanding them to rehome the foal is honestly like a punch to the gut. As a breeder I spend a good deal of money, time, and part of my horses life that cuts their competition lifespan. Someone telling me to just rehome a foal, no question, would hurt my program a lot and I would honestly probably politely refuse or question how much of a problem my mare having the foal would be. However I would try to negotiate and possibly offer money as compensation. And vice versa the owner of the stud offering compensation would make the interaction a lot less damaging to my program. Also I must inquire why you have only pinged me since I dropped out of the discussion fairly early?Rhorsegirl801 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 10, 2025 6:47 pmKarolinaCakes1234 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 04, 2025 9:17 am

And on a last note, private studs are overall a flawed design and merely a placeholder until the people updating this lovely game get the approved mares’ button working. I look forward to that day not because it would benefit me but because it would solve a huge tension point in the community. I appreciate your concern and posting your alternative ideas to anyone who might see this thread, however to anyone who may see this thread in the future I suggest not replying. This should all be considered water under the bridge now and there is no benefit opening a sore topic once it’s been closed.
Edit: the person I have responded to may post a reply but beyond that I want no more pings on this topic. I have stated my opinion and pinging me would simply result in a message probably similar to what I have written above, aka I’d just be repeating myself

Re: PING - DO NOT BREED
Hello! I never meant to bring you back into the topic and as you did, I am not going to be responding on this topic anymore. My message was more of an overall statement and I saw you were part of the topic so I pinged you as well as the other person. My apologies on including you again! I completely understand what you're saying and it is a risk. My message was mainly trying to say that as a community we should try to understand each other in those situations and find a compromise if possible!UltimateHonse2 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 10, 2025 9:22 pmYes, I understand your point and think your alternatives to rehoming are fair.
