Does changing temperament decrease winning chances

If your horses temperament changes does it's chances to win the discipline that was better suited for it's previous temp to win?

Yep. In order to get the best competition results with a horse, weight and temperament should be as close as possible to the ideal of that discipline. A fair amount of trial and error usually goes into this as the ideal can be slightly different between horses, so it's just a matter of making tiny adjustments in feed until you're happy with the horse's performance
