Each breed may have only one topic. The first post in the topic is to be informative. It should help explain the breed, and breeding goals; advice on how to select mares and stallions; and links to ideal Stallions available for breeding.
Keeping a directory of breeders working on the same goal is also helpful.

Breeding The Norman Cob/Westphalian

Post by brixton22 »

Hey everyone!!
I have been trying to breed a norman cob for a while now. Unfortunately I had little success, only getting two stallions before my recipe parents died.
Is there any chance anybody has a norman cob filly/mare for sale or for breeding use w/ one of my stallions?
Thanks!

I also would like to add that I am having a very similar difficult situation with my westphalians, and I currently was only able to breed one stallion and no fillies! Please let me know if anyone has a female westphalian for sale/use as well! 😊

By the way, in case anybody is able to help now that it's been a while since I posted this, I would also like to add that I am also looking for a lusitano stud if anybody has one! the only one on the market is related to my mare and I prefer not to inbreed.

Hey, just a heads up, i've also decided to breed Norman Cobs, but i am also just starting out, so i don't have much. I also happen to have a Lusitano stallion, Dente-de-Leão, he's up for stud right now.
