Dark Star looks to be a Palomino Pearl Blanket (Sire looks to carry the pearl gene from his own Dam).

Now the closest thing I've seen to your colts newborn photos is from when I experimented with adding Cream and Champagne genes into my Pink lines. We aren't a 100% sure what causes some horse to come out with such bright pink tones, but it is theorized that it has something to do with Dun and/or Pangare lightening the coats. Cream on Pink foals tend to be born way brighter and more vivid than normal and slowly fade into a normal but still slightly brighter version of its coat color. However, I have been able to breed specifically for this trait and produced horses with white markings that nearly blend into their base coat color.
