Recommended feeding combinations for a dressage horse and show jumping horse?
I keep all my dressage and show jumpers in barns and was wondering what feed combinations you would recommend for a dressage horse as well as for a show jumper?

Re: Recommended feeding combinations for a dressage horse and show jumping horse?
For competitions that require a High Strung temperament I tend to feed 75% Performance Mix and 25% Yellow Corn for a high sugar content. Bombproof can be easier to maintain in a pasture with some weight management. However feeding a low sugar feed like 50% - 70% Hay and and 50% - 30% Performance Mix in a barn will work as well.
For competitions that require a temperament that isn't perfectly at the end of each side of the scale will require a bit more work to maintain the correct temperament. So if a horse need a Spirited temp. you can feed the High Strung recipe until the horses until the horse switches over to High Strung and then switch them over to the low sugar mix until the horse hits a Even temperament.
