Re: The Hidden Competition Genes: All About Heart
Heart is not a real game featureEmiisheartless wrote: ↑Sat Apr 19, 2025 8:01 pmThis makes me really curious if one could skip the whole testing process (in player-made competitions that is, we’d still want the approximate score ranges that the locals give us) and simply look at the quality of the offspring in order to determine what kind of heart the horse has. If the horse consistently outproduces itself, that would suggest better heart genes, right? Although perhaps it’s only true that better heart = better producer, and not necessarily the other way around. Either way, it’s interesting to consider! As another interesting note. The heart of a horse can also reveal what type of breeder it can be. It's not always accurate, but for the most part, horses with better heart will more often produce foals of better quality, meanwhile, horses with weaker hearts will more often produce foals of poorer quality. The exception is the intermittent heart where they generally end up producing much like they run, a couple really great ones, a couple really awful ones and a handful that ends up right in the middling range.
