No idea what color this colt is

The part that is confusing me us the gray/pink area on his chest and the underside of his head. My other foals from this mare don't have anything similar, so I'm thinking it's from the stallion's side, unless it's something recessive.

Kingdoms Glory is a Mealy Silver Bay Snowcap. The gray/pink area you are seeing is full body expression of mealy it is however a very soft/subtle expression compared to the bright yellow/tan color that mealy can sometimes be.sunandshadow wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 8:05 am The part that is confusing me us the gray/pink area on his chest and the underside of his head. The dam does at least carry the minimal expression for mealy but doesn't actually have the gene to show it on her adult coat. That would mean that the full body expression and trigger gene would have had to come from the Sire like you have said.
BlackOak2 has a really nice guide for the mealy gene here.

Thank you! I hadn't realized there was a full-body expresion of mealy.
