Horse racing level jumped when she became champion?

Agate Gem here was only Racing level 3 or 4, and only entered in about 3 races. These events completed, the mare became a champion, but why is her racing level suddenly 8??? Shee has never competed in a level 6 or 7 race and I'm pretty sure she has no chance of placing in a level 8 race...

Re: Horse racing level jumped when she became champion?
The system is designed to evaluate based on how well they've done in previous competitions, and it looks like she recently won a competition against a huge group of other competitors (https://www.horseworldonline.net/compet ... ?edition=4) which the system then evaluated here as capable of a much higher competition level. If she fails to continue to do well in the higher level the system would drop her down to a more reasonable level.
Now, that being said it does look like there is a rounding issue and your horse should probably be placed at Level 7 and not Level 8. On her "Current Results" tab of her competition history there is a link beside her PPS (Points Per Start) that displays how the level is calculated. It looks like Level 7 is for horses between 22 to 28 PPS and Level 8 is for horses between 29 to 36 PPS. You horse shows 28 PPS which should put her at Level 7. I will investigate this and correct it in an update.

Thank you! I didn't know level was capable of dropping, but it makes sense.larissar wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2024 1:41 pm The system is designed to evaluate based on how well they've done in previous competitions, and it looks like she recently won a competition against a huge group of other competitors (https://www.horseworldonline.net/compet ... ?edition=4) which the system then evaluated here as capable of a much higher competition level.
