Hello About_Blank, I really hope you take the time to read this.

I am sure you are aware of what these other players are upset about..

As you know there are some "players" who think it's a great idea to steal "stud offers"
The current system in place doesn't allow owners to control who buys the stud fees.
Which is why so many other hard-working players have felt like they have been robbed.
We set prices at lower costs for our joint accounts and/or our combined efforts with other players to use to produce "winners" in the show pins at a PRIVATE cost.

If these studs were open to public use, owners would set them at prices that showcases their worth.

But you see,
Now there is a large influx of horses for sale on the market that are priced EXTREMELY high.. by a certain player. (which NO ONE would be ignorant enough to buy. these horses are what we would call "Cull" or "rehome" horses.)
These horses were bred by those stolen stud fees.. This seller thinks that these horses are worth millions.

This where I would like to do some proper educating.

lesson #1:

Goals of this game for many players are to create Record Holding Competitive horses or to improve breed standards buy producing better horses of that breed. these players have spent many hours studying the game and investing time & money to achieve these goals.

Lesson #2:

WORTH: Reputable breeders know the worth of their animals
Let says you went to a jewelry store and bought a very nice set of diamond earrings either for you or your significant other.
You spend around $5000 for those earrings. by the time you walk out that department store their value instantly drops. You now have a pair of earrings that you might be able to sell for half that price if you are lucky. The only reason diamonds are so expensive is because of supply and demand.

I used to breed 5-star EVAL Arabians on here. The foals once sold for 50k. At the time everyone was breeding Arabians. Good quality Arabians were hard to come by. Players were working to raise their HGP potential and create 5* breed horses. Now many players have moved on to created competitive horses and it would be unrealistic for me to start breeding and selling Arabians again. Unless I knew they had great competitive potential.

Another example:

let's say you bought some earrings for $5000 thinking they were real, and turns out they were Cubic Zirconia, your $5000 investment just turned into a $20 set of earrings. Now you have something that cannot be resold because it's value is worthless. Your investment now has no return. By using these studs fees at private cost and selling the foals for millions of dollars won't produce a profit. WHY you say?

The reason being: someone might pay a couple million dollars for a well-bred foal with champion lines on both sides. Which means the dam also has to be worth her weight in gold. We invest in horses to produce winners. We do not purchase horses just to flip on the market..
No one with millions of dollars in bank would pay for a horse of that standard or quality.

We all started out somewhere. Stealing to get to the top is just wrong and will get you nowhere.
There are many generous players on here that would gladly help other players achieve their goals in this game.
We do not appreciate being robbed from and seeing our hard-earned efforts get put into poor quality horses.

Likewise, just like AKC& UKC dog shows... you don't see mutts on there do you?

Breeding an AC market belgian used for Log Pulling with a champion racehorse. Neither produces a great Log Pulling champion or a future racehorse. The foal isn't even worth the price of a grinder.[/i]

Friendly reminder:

-"supply and demand" don't apply to cheap horses. Anyone can purchase $20 earrings.
- A poor-quality mare or stud will depreciate the value of any foals.
-A champion sire's worth is not transferred to the foal.
-Foals are not worth anything unless they have potential to be something great or produce something greater than itself.

"private" breeding is no where in the rules of the game. If you want the foal, buy it

No, it's not. But you can't expect anyone to buy the horses you're selling (with no competitive value) for the price you're offering. You could MAYBE get the breeder to pay you back the stud fee but at this point I think it's a lost cause... good luck
