Money/Grinder
So I just finished the tutorial, have about 7k ish and was looking for ways to earn some money. A guide said to get a Grinder...? Said something about on a horses profile under a gold bar that says show? I can't find that for the life of me.

You use the grinder horse in local shows to earn your daily monies. Use the grinder horse in local shows each turn until you're completely out of time for each and every turn.
All About The Grinder Horse is a bit of a long read, but it will tell you everything you need to know, concerning Grinder Horses as well as how to evaluate a potential grinder horse and monies earned from them (including PT and turn drops). If you want to learn more about them, use that guide, but it's entirely optional.
I have a grinder for you.

He's already up and waiting. Apply $1 for the pickup and as soon as it's seen, he'll be released to you.

You'll find local showing under the tab Training and Local Shows. Click on that tab and then scroll down until you see the Local Shows section. Fill in Endurance, Level 10 and the button will run the shows. 5 shows per turn with a little time left over for other things (training horses, breeding horses, etc.).

It says I am not skilled enough to own another horse yet. Seems a bit silly to recommend new players to get Grinder horses but they are limited on horse numbers. I only have the three from the tutorial

Re: Money/Grinder
If you go into Player, Skills, Horse Ownership and do one or two of those skills, you can increase the horses you can own. The first couple should be pretty cheap and should be learned decently quickly (minutes or even seconds). Be sure to finish each skill before starting a new one.Silver_Creek_Eq wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 9:28 pm It says I am not skilled enough to own another horse yet. Re: Money/Grinder
Okay I managed to do it and got space and sent an offer. But wow that must have taken a lot of money because I went from 6k to 3k. Hopefully this grinder helps

Yeah, those player skills do get expensive and get expensive quick. Prioritize which ones you need first, it'll help you save some monies. Also, you may only be able to learn one player skill at a time, but you can pause and start another at any time.Silver_Creek_Eq wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2024 10:33 pm Okay I managed to do it and got space and sent an offer. It may not seem like the locals give you much monies ($175 for each first in level 10), but they can add up really fast.
To help you save on money, other than the grinder, the rest of your horses don't need to be fed. They won't die from starvation or obesity. So if you find yourself in a troubling spot, take off any extra feed from your horses and sit tight with your grinder, you'll have your income going back in the correct direction.
If you find yourself out of money, I or another player can send you a gift to get you back on track. Please keep in mind that sending money from one account to another will require a horse.
