What's Going On?! -Returning Player

Post by RoyalCrownAcres »

Long time no see!
I've decided to come back to the game after seeing that the owners are more active!! I'm very excited to see where it's going to go and have enjoyed keeping up with the updates.

I haven't logged on to actually play the game since September of 2023. And even then I wasn't playing often. I used to breed Irish Cobs ( I think they're called Vanner's in the game now) for dressage and driving disciplines, and always had a couple of random side projects going on. I know the competition system was overhauled, so I'm mainly wondering about the economy.

I used to be able to sell trained horses with minimal competition experience for 40-75k depending on pedigree and I could sell my purebred cobs with movement that was higher than 52 for 10-20k depending on its other stats. The max movement horse was 68 (I believe) with most "high movement" horses being between 62-65. These horses would regularly go for 60-100k and stud in that range too. No horse had broken into the 70's with any stat yet (not that I'm aware of anyways). Vanners were fairly rare at the time if I remember correctly, and I think I was the only major breeder of them, with a few players having a small herd.

Feathered Arabians, racing thoroughbreds, and leopard arabs and tbs were all the rage last time I was really active on here. And training other players horses was also lucrative and profitable, with exchanges for a large batch of trained horses being exchanged for PT every now and then.

BlackOak and Silverene were major players in the game last time I was really active. Are they still around? If I remember correctly I think Silverene was sharing her breeding journey with her Knab foal Freya (unless I'm mixing them up with another player, oops).

But how has all of this changed? I'm planning on creeping through the markets and forums to see what I can learn, but I figured it would be best to ask the people!

I can't wait to get back into it!

Still here.
Silverine is still around as well, doing her own thing.

Most of what you remember is still generally true.

Glad Y'all are still here!

I'm glad there hasn't been any wild changes in terms of selling and buying prices, I was worried there would be and that I would have to completely re-evaluate my breeding and selling practices

There haven't been any breakthroughs in terms of stat numbers? I remember a few players trying to break into the 70's with strength and belgians. I remember when people starting consistently breaking 67 with speed :P , I figured something major would have happened lol.

Yeah, there have been changes, but the economy is an ever-present thing. Ahahahaha!!! :|

Anyway. Nominally, it's unchanged, including the fact that selling grinders can be the best and most lucrative 'Easy' project.

Although I could've missed something, here's the current known and shared stats.
StatLowestHighest
strength 10 72
speed 5 67
stamina 12 70
movement 13 70
tempo 7 50
balance 5 64
agile 9 67
Oh, also, nobody has yet posted they've beaten the 10k HGP mark with crummy foals.

I breed dressage shires, I've had a handful of 69 movers, I've heard of and seen one other player having a 70 movement but I think this horse has been mistakenly deleted, my current goals are a mare with Gold movement and the fabled 70 movement

I've made small progress with the mares, I've even seen 3 or 4 with a green floats comment

The rage right now seems to be low coi and high HGP arabians (still) and racing TBS, steeples seems to be having a little boom too
