Temperament Adjustment Issues
So, I have a horse that I mainly use as a grinder of sorts. I have found out that one of the easiest competitions to find (most frequent) that my horse also does well in is Saddleseat. In local shows, I set it to level 10, as I am still trying to make adjustments to weight and temperament accordingly. Mind you, I have read many posts on how to adjust feeding for weight and temperament, and for the most part, I've got the hang of it. But here's my issue: When I set the local show to level 10 Saddleseat, it says my horse's temperament is a little too calm. Having said that, I don't know how to raise the temperament any further because my horse is already High-strung. How do I get around this issue?

EDIT: I'm not sure how but I seem to have fixed the issue.

Re: Temperament Adjustment Issues
I believe there is a sort of "range" within each different temperament, for example, a horse can be on the low end of high-strung, or can be maxed in the high-strung department. My bet is your horse was just sitting at the low end of high strung, but after a couple of turns with good sugar consumption, it maxed out. I've had a couple that will hold onto the lower end for a decent number of turns before they reach the higher ends. Lots of people with make these sort of micro adjustments to the horses temperament without actually "Changing" the horses temperament to try to maximize competition success for that horse.
Glad you got it fixed though!

Re: Temperament Adjustment Issues
This player was having their issue when a change to the feed system was implemented. The change has been rolled back and so they no longer have said issue.Midway90067 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2024 1:19 am I believe there is a sort of "range" within each different temperament, for example, a horse can be on the low end of high-strung, or can be maxed in the high-strung department.
