Welcome to Raven-Wood Ranch, the home of Low COI draft & draft-type breeds! While our main focus is to create and offer lines of Percherons, Raven-Wood will occasionally offer up other draft-type breeds on a circular basis to help other players further & create new lines while reducing COI.
Most, if not all, stallions for public stud from Raven-Wood’s stud book will range in 4*/5* Evaluations of their breed, with no red traits, and guaranteed less than 100% COI.
Studs will remain on the main farm until the age of six, before moving to boarding & stud at Raven-Wood Boarding.

The Norman Cob, or ‘Cob Normand’, is a light draft breed of medium build, originating from the Normandy region of northern France.
Cobs can be be used as a recipe breed to create;
Anglo-Norman • Canadian Horse • Comtois • French Trotter • Nonius • Percheron • Sable Island Pony • Selle Francais • & the South German Horse

The Percheron is a medium large draft breed of strong build, originating from the Huisne river valley of Western France, a part of the former Perche province, for which the breed earned its namesake. Currently, there are three main Percheron types - the French-type is the oldest, with the North American & British types following respectively.
