Re: Boerperd
You would follow the recipe. This is generally called 'breeding from scratch'.ladykieshara wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2024 7:32 am if i want to start my own line of horses... how to i get a breed like the Boerperd??
Open the Boerperd
Look at the right and find "Creation"
Under this you will see the recipe that creates the breed in question.
In this case, the Boerperd's recipe is [ Thoroughbred x Hackney ] x Cape Horse
This means you will need a horse that is both TB and Hackney and another horse that is Cape. Take a note of how closely both of these horses are to the Boerperd's requirements (books in the market). The closer they are, the better chances of this new breed. However, even foals that are perfect, may not pop out as the new breed.
Just follow backward in the recipe until you get to the ancient breed (25 PT breeds in the Adoption Centre), or however far back you want to go. Recipes have links to the breed pages of those breeds. So just click on Hackney to go to the Hackney page and so forth.

Re: Boerperd
Not including COI, assuming you keep all of the ancient AC horses you adopt, not letting them age out and reusing identical AC breeds instead of adopting a secondary one, it looks like you'll need an arab, an NAB, a forest, a turkmene, a prze, a tarpan, and a caspian. I did not check to see that genders will work out however. You may need to adopt a secondary one of any of these breeds to fit into the breeding you might need to do.ladykieshara wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2024 9:31 am this is a stupid reply... um.. how many horses do i actaully need to create my own fresh line of boerperd??
Getting to the boerperd is not an easy task and will take a number of generations, even if you have a lot of luck. You will need a lot of space too. Remember that the rehome feature is your friend and don't get too sticky about keeping horses you like but aren't useful to you otherwise.
The thoroughbred will be exceptionally difficult for you to produce, because of the breeds that go into it as well as the differences between those breeds and the Tb standard.
Good Luck!

I would suggest you figure on saving your best horses (and a grade) to help with maintaining and growing GP. COI will be negatively affected, but can be worked on later (however with the new changes, higher COI can become a Big Problem later down the line when admin applies the coding for this, in this case, if you focus on keeping COI to at and under 40%, you shouldn't be affected too badly when admin applies COI issues).ladykieshara wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2024 3:58 pm i am firstly working on the GP of the horses i will use to create the boerperd... so i am starting at arabian...
COI can be used to positively affect your herd as well. So use it too your advantage when and where you see the need to. Your biggest issues to get to your Boerperd will NOT be HGP management but rather getting your stock to close to and within the requirements of each successive breed. In this case, COI can have a negative impact on this (starting to produce identical foals that you can't seem to breed out of what they are, for example, super lights that you can't get into a pony form).
If you have issues you can't figure out, let us know and we'll try to get you back on track.

Currently I have a problem with discord. My account is no longer active and I haven't gotten around to fixing the problem. However, there are plenty around here that'll help you out. So, yes, you can pop into discord and ask a question, however, no I won't be the one answering you in discord.ladykieshara wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2024 4:45 pmok cool thaanks ... if i need a quick qeustion i can pop a hello to you on discord?BlackOak2 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2024 4:43 pm
